ROUTES

Routes in the system are used to streamline the process of assigning work orders to multiple assets simultaneously. Instead of creating individual work orders for each asset, you can use a Route to group a series of assets and assign them a singular work order template.

Once a Route is created, the user or operator assigned to it will receive work orders for all assets on the route at the same time. This simplifies the workflow for operators, ensuring that all assets on their assigned route are accounted for and tasks are organized.

Key Sections:

1. Create a Work Order Template

2. Add a Route

3. Assign User

Let's dive into each of the sections in detail:

Create a Route

Create a Work Order Template

Before creating a route, you need to have a work order template ready to assign to the assets. If you haven’t created a template yet, refer to the Work Order Template section to learn how to set one up.

Add a Route

Navigate to the Routes section and click on 'Add Route'.
In the route creation window, follow these steps:

Step 1:

  • Name the Route: Provide a meaningful name for the route that indicates the assets or tasks associated with it.
  • Choose a Work Order Template: Select the pre-created work order template that will be assigned to all assets on the route. This template will be used to generate work orders for each asset.

  • Choose a category(Optional): Select a category for the route
  • Add Description (Optional): Include a description if necessary, to provide more context about the route's purpose or the type of work involved.

Step 2:

Click on 'Proceed' to go to Step 2

  • Add Assets: Click on 'Add Asset' to select an asset from the list to add to the route.

Click on 'Add Route' to complete adding the route.

Assign User to Route

Click on the options(...) menu on the route you want to assign the user, and select 'Assign'.

Set a Due date for the work order generated from this route to be completed by.

Click on the 'Search' icon next to 'Assign to User' and select an user from the list to assign to the route.

Once all details are complete, click on 'Assign' to generate the work orders and assign it to the user selected.
