Widgets

E-Sentry dashboard displays all the widgets available by default. You have 6 widgets available to review on the dashboard.

  1. Work Order Summary
  2. Past Due Work Orders
  3. Alarmed Assets
  4. Work Orders by Category
  5. Assets by Category
  6. Today’s Work Orders

Let’s dive into each of the widgets below.

Work Order Summary

The ‘Work Order Summary’ is progress widget is designed to give users a quick visual representation of progress towards completion of work orders over different time periods, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly.

The progress bar for each of the time periods visually displays the ratio of completed to not completed work orders.

There are also text labels below the bar showing the exact number of completed and not completed work orders.

Past Due Work Orders

The “Past Due Work Orders” section of your dashboard provides a comprehensive list of work orders that have not been completed by their due dates. This helps you quickly identify and prioritize overdue tasks to ensure timely completion and maintain operational efficiency.

The table as shown above displays

  1. Title: The type of work order
  2. Assigned: Shows the name of the individual to whom the work order has been assigned.
  3. Location: Indicates the specific location where the work order needs to be performed.
  4. Asset: The name of the asset associated with the work order.
  5. Due Date: Shows the original due date and time by which the work order was supposed to be completed.

Alarmed Assets

The “Alarmed Assets” section of the dashboard provides a critical overview of assets that have triggered alarms. This is designed to help you quickly identify and address any issues that require immediate attention to maintain the safety and efficiency of your operations.

The assets displayed on this widget can be set as ‘Alarmed’ in two ways:

  1.  In the E-Sentry web application in the Assets tab. The admin can update an asset and set it to be alarmed.
  2. By a field worker on the mobile application during the completion of a work order on the asset.

Work Orders by Category

The “Work Orders by Category” section of your dashboard provides an overview of the total work orders categorized by type. This is designed to help you quickly understand the distribution and volume of work orders, enabling prioritization and management of tasks.

Categories for the work orders are set up in Administration > Categories > Work Orders.

When creating a work order, you assign the said work order to a category (set up as mentioned earlier) and that helps categorize the widget on dashboard.

If work orders are created without assigning them to a category, the dashboard groups those work orders as Uncategorized as shown in the image above.

Assets by Category

The “Assets” section of your dashboard provides an overview of all the assets characterized by type. This is designed to help you quickly understand the distribution and volume of assets within your system.

Categories for the asset can be set up in Administration > Categories > Assets tab.

When adding an asset to the system, you can assign it to a category from a drop-down menu (displays all categories set up as mentioned earlier).

If an asset is created without assigning to a category, those assets are grouped into ‘Uncategorized’ on the dashboard. However, making sure to assign assets into categories helps monitoring the inventory efficiently and to ensure that all assets are accounted for.

Today’s Work Orders

The ‘Today’s Work Orders’ section of your dashboard provides a list of work orders scheduled for the current day. This helps you stay on top of daily tasks and ensure that all scheduled work is completed on time.

Tips for Using the Dashboard

  1. Regular Monitoring: Keep an eye on the statistics and reports to track the progress of work orders and ensure timely completion.
  2. Prioritize Tasks: Use the ‘Past Due Work Orders’ and ‘Today’s Work Orders’ sections to prioritize your workload.
  3. Address Alarms Quickly: Pay special attention to the ‘Alarmed Assets’ section to address any critical issues immediately.
  4. Customize View: Switch to edit mode using the toggle in the header to customize the dashboard according to your preferences and needs.
