E SENTRY MOBILE APPLICATION

E Sentry mobile application can be used by three groups of users: Admin, Inspector and Operator. The app allows spot check i.e., assigning an NFC tag to an asset which can be used to track active work orders on the asset.


Inspector and Operator also use the application to check their current work orders, recognize all the tasks to be performed on the asset and complete their work orders on time. 


Login Page

Once users login to the mobile application, they are prompted to choose a site to log into.


Default View

The default page, once you login, is 'Work Orders'. Here, the user can view any work orders assigned to them, currently due and their priority in a color coded triangle.




Scan NFC tag

Click on the Spot Check icon as shown in the image above. 


On iOS ( Apple Devices), this opens another window with a 'Scan' button. Click on 'Scan' to activate NFC scanner on your phone. Then hold your phone's front edge against the NFC tag.


On Android devices, clicking on the Spot Check icon automatically activates the scanner. Hold your phone's back panel against the NFC tag.

 

Pair Asset

Step 1: If the NFC tag is not attached to an asset, the scan displays 'Un-assigned Tag Detected'.

Step 2: Click on 'Assign to Asset' to pair the NFC to an asset.


You can either choose an asset from the list of assets in the system or create a new asset.


Step 3: If you wish to create a new asset, click on 'Add New Asset'. 


Fill in all the details and click on 'Save Asset' button to create the new asset. The list of assets is updated with the new asset. 


Step 4: Select an asset from the list to assign the NFC to it. Once you click on 'Assign' next to the Asset, you see a confirmation page. 

Step 5: If everything looks correct, click on 'Assign Tag' to finish the process. You will see a notification in green that the assignment was successful.




View Asset Information

If user scans an NFC tag already paired with an asset, the spot check scan displays the asset information as shown in the image below.


You can see all the tabs with information associated with the asset such as Users assigned to the asset, work orders added to the asset, any files attached to the asset, notes tab where user can add messages/notes to the asset from both the web application and mobile application. You can also see the sensors tab, where all sensors paired with the asset are displayed in a list.


Unpair Sensor from Asset

If you wish to unpair a sensor from the asset, click on 'Remove from Asset' button under a sensor and confirm to remove the sensor from the asset.



Pair Sensor

Click on 'Scan' button and hold against a sensor.

 

Step 1: If a sensor is not attached to an asset, an 'Unknown Sensor Detected' is displayed.

Step 2: Click on 'Register Sensor' button to start pairing the sensor to an asset. You are asked to scan Asset NFC tag. Hold the phone against the NFC tag paired to an asset. 

Step 3: Once an NFC tag attached to an asset is scanned, the information is displayed so users can verify the details and continue.

Step 4: Once all the information looks accurate, click on 'Confirm Pairing' to continue. Sensor is now successfully paired to the asset. Click on 'Back to Home Page' to go back to Work Orders Page. If you wish to make any changes to the sensor details, click on 'Edit Sensor Details.


View Sensor Information

If user scans a sensor and its already paired to an asset in the system, the sensor details page is displayed.

On Details tab, basic information about the sensor is displayed.


Go to 'Reports' tab to see the latest reports from the sensor (in UTC timezone).
