ROUTES

Routes in the system are used to streamline the process of assigning work orders to multiple assets simultaneously. Instead of creating individual work orders for each asset, you can use a Route to group a series of assets and assign them a singular work order template. 

Once a Route is created, the user or operator assigned to it will receive work orders for all assets on the route at the same time. This simplifies the workflow for operators, ensuring that all assets on their assigned route are accounted for and tasks are organized.

Create a Route

Create a Work Order Template

Before creating a route, you need to have a work order template ready to assign to the assets. If you haven’t created a template yet, refer to the Work Order Template section to learn how to set one up.

Add a Route

Navigate to the Routes section and click on Add a Route.
In the route creation window, follow these steps:

• Name the Route: Provide a meaningful name for the route that indicates the assets or tasks associated with it.
• Choose a Work Order Template: Select the pre-created work order template that will be assigned to all assets on the route. This template will be used to fire work orders for each asset.

• Add Description (Optional): Include a description if necessary, to provide more context about the route's purpose or the type of work involved.
• Add Assets: Select the assets that will be included in the route. These assets will receive the work orders when the route is fired.

Click on 'Create' to complete adding the route.

Assign User to Route

Choose the route you want to assign a user to by checking the box next to the route name and click on the three dots on the top right of the screen next to the 'Add Route' button. 

In the dropdown menu, select Assign. Choose the user who will be responsible for the route by clicking 'Select' next to their name. 

Once the user is selected, the route will be assigned to them. Work orders will be generated for all assets in the route. The user will be responsible for managing work orders along the assets included in this route.
